Director's Note: This piece is a fictional documentary that features a cast entirely composed of Mercedes-Benz staffs, all of whom are participating in a video shoot for the first time. While meeting client requirements, I aimed to make this film both content-rich on a macro level and interesting on a micro level, from the early scriptwriting stages to post-production. Particularly in the third section, focusing on the three principles of quality management, I wanted to create a POV perspective AR puzzle game visually. Incorporating a massive amount of in-car navigation UI elements and detailed work processes from the quality management department into the AR effects, we've turned it into a captivating experiment that combines content and visual effects. Mercedes-Benz Standards: e-range

Director's Note: The piece is actually crafted in the form of a video essay. Since it's termed an essay, it's destined not to have widespread popularity and is not suitable for everyone. Its target audience consists of those interested in the principles behind electric car range and have a certain level of relevant knowledge, such as automotive media professionals and enthusiasts. This is an inherent attribute of its content. To make its hardcore educational content more accessible to a broader audience, I drew inspiration from the Disney animated film "Inside Out." I personified the car's on-board monitoring and calculation of range into an AI monitoring team. This way, the general audience only needs to remember that there's a robust team inside the Mercedes infotainment system constantly monitoring and calculating your driving conditions. During the writing and filming stages, we personified the three calculation logics of the car's system, even portraying the minimum and maximum ranges. However, due to time constraints, we had to cut them out in edit eventually. In conclusion, I think our production planning and creative were quite ambitious, but there were some regrets during the execution phase, especially when everyone were tested positive to COVID.
