Lingxin Dong (Ling)

As a filmmaker, Ling is driven by a deep passion for storytelling and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of cinematic expression.

Ling's  journey has led her to the recent role as the Director and Founder of Naughty Room Studio. In this position, she not only delves into high-profile projects with top brands but also shapes the creative landscape by exploring innovative approaches to filmmaking.

"We're told we have to do what we're told, but surely, sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty", as Matilda sings in the musical Matilda.

In her previous works, Ling has flexibly switches between documentaries, feature films, commercials, factual entertainment, and narrative streaming series, wearing various hats—editor, director, writer, and the leader of a production house. She is always keen to try new format and play around diverse exciting techniques to weave compelling narratives.

Ling's studio is named  "Naughty Room"  because she would like to provide a safe space for herself and her fellow colleagues to discover their authentic voices on creativity, originality and sensitivity in cinema storytelling.
